  • Art of Divination with the Oracle Divination Board with Isis Indriya

Art of Divination with the Oracle Divination Board with Isis Indriya

    (10/27, 1-2:30pm pacific time)
Divination is an ancient practice of receiving information by interpreting omens, signs, symbols, and images through the use of various technologies.. This artform is also a medium to communicate with the Divine and thus bring forward messages that can help the querent(s) gain insight into a question(s) or situation(s). As traditionally known to be a practice of foresight, the focus of this technology is to bring into awareness the internal workings of the Cosmos that has and continues to be a useful way to receive guidance for one’s Path moving forward. In this session we will be working with an Oracle Divination Board that is a cosmological map of the Universe carrying planetary, astrological, elemental, cyclical, and archetypal symbols.

All that is needed to prepare for this is a glass of water, a journal & writing utensil, & genuine inquiries for the board. We will collectively be distilling the inquiries into 3 primary focuses for the live reading. It is suggested to take notes as the board often offers a variety of ways to apply the transmissions into a Sacred way of life.

By the end of the workshop, attendees will walk away feeling equipped with greater vocabulary to take greater action in alignment with their birth charts. • A QUEER LIGHT: The Art of Alchemy with Eliza Swann

A QUEER LIGHT: The Art of Alchemy with Eliza Swann

    (10/30, 7-8:30pm pacific time)
What is the space between nothing and something, what impulse whisks things in and out of being, what is the space between zero and one? During this talk we'll look at some of the foundations of alchemical magic, as well as deities, myths and symbols that urge us to dissolve and re-create the self. We'll look in particular at some trans and gender non-conforming deities, alchemists, and myths that populate the European tradition of alchemy. We'll close with an alchemical invocation of Mercury to help us amplify our voices and embrace our multiplicity. This invocation is helpful for both self acceptance and engaging in community organizing and activism. This talk is designed to welcome everyone into a discipline that often seems inscrutable and outdated - all people of any level of interest or experience with alchemy are encouraged to join.

Upon purchasing a ticket to attend an event, we will keep you informed of other future events that we organize. We look forward to welcoming you to an upcoming event and appreciate your patronage and support of our events!

Purchase of tickets constitutes your acceptance of ALL the Ticket Sales Policy And Terms for Participation of Activities outlined below.
No Refunds on Tickets Purchased for Any Reason
By purchasing a ticket, you agree to our NO CANCELLATIONS OR REFUNDS policy on tickets purchased FOR ANY REASON, including but not limited to weather conditions, health matters/restrictions, changes in travel plans, unanticipated travel or other reasons.
Acceptable Behavior
We expect anyone who interacts with us or a guest attending an event to be respectful and polite, always. For the wellbeing of our community (and our sanity!), we have a strict zero tolerance policy for anyone who would interact or communicate in a belligerent, disrespectful, or otherwise unreasonable manner. Any such interaction will result in being banned from taking part in club activities. If such interaction occurs during an event, the person responsible for such behavior will be immediately escorted out with no refund. We simply have a policy of refusing to serve anyone who is rude. If there is ever an issue, please discuss it with us politely and we will do everything we can to assist you.
We may refuse to serve anyone for not adhering to terms outlined in our Ticket Sales Policy, including our policy that all ticket sales are nonrefundable.
Excessive/Unreasonable Complaints
We work hard to present meaningful events to our members. When we plan events, we do everything possible to treat our guests the same way we ourselves would like to be treated. As hard as we work to present meaningful events, we are not perfect, and neither are our events. If you expect perfection, as hard as we work to plan our events, you will not find perfection at our events, as our events are organized by humans who are not perfect. If you attend an event, and wish something was different, please bring it to our attention politely during the event and we will do everything possible to address your concern.
However, if during or after an event, you engage in excessive and/or unreasonable complaints of dissatisfaction (as determined by our sole sole discretion) where we feel that your lofty expectations can’t be served with our earthly resources, we may, at our sole discretion refuse to serve you at future events and ban you from taking part in future Club activities and events. We would not take such action without due consideration, but as a private organization (and for the sake of our sanity), we reserve the right to refuse to serve in the future a guest that we believe we are just not able to satisfy with the resources we have due to excessive complaints.
Weather Related Postponements
In the event we have to postpone an event due to adverse weather or an act of god beyond our control, your ticket is transferable to attend a similar event in the future. You can transfer your ticket to attend a future event by emailing us when you see the rescheduled event on our event calendar. The weather related postponement policy applies only when the International Club of DC decides to invoke the provision to postpone an event due to adverse weather. Events that are advertised as being held rain, shine, or snow will be held as promised rain, shine, or snow.
Event Postponements
We hardly ever reschedule or postpone events. In the extremely rare instance that an event is postponed or rescheduled due to factors beyond our control, you are entitled to a credit in the amount paid for your tickets that can be applied towards any future event presented by the International Club of DC. Any such credit will be retained in full and indefinitely until you are able to use the event credit it its entirety. In such a situation in addition to the Event Credit, we will also present you with complimentary admission to a select event of our choosing in appreciation of your understanding. For example in the event you reserved a ticket for $50 and that event had to be rescheduled due to circumstances beyond our control you will have a $50 Event Credit that can be applied to future events. In such a case if you use $25 of that event credit for a certain event, the remaining $25 can be used towards a future event until the Event Credit on file is used in full.

We reserve the right to not accept a ticket order we receive for any reason, including but not limited to the limited availability of space for certain events as well as the possible cancellation or postponement of the event along with circumstances due to errors and omissions. For example, if an event is close to being sold out, and we receive a ticket order for 10 reservations, when only 3 tickets are available, we will not be able to accept the reservation for 10 tickets due to the lack of space. In such a case, we will contact you as quickly as possible (within 24 hours, when possible) and void your transaction. In the event the payment has posted for an event where we are unable to accept your reservation due to space availability, we will immediately issue a full refund of your ticket cost.

If we do not receive the requested validation information by the designated time, tickets are subject to cancellation and in such a case we will no longer accept payment by credit card and any payment must be submitted by check or money order.

This is especially the case for Embassy events that require us to send a complete guest list to the embassy for security purposes. If you plan to sell or offer your tickets to someone else, you MUST contact as prior to doing so as it allows us to note the change of name(s) on the guest list.
